I’ve been working in the hair industry for over 10 years and have loved all aspects of it. I started as an assistant after hairstyling school at Algonquin and made my way to a hairstylist concentrating mostly on colour. After a few years, I found myself more interested in the ‘behind the scenes’ of how a salon is run and returned to school to study Marketing and Business. I’ve worked in several salons in the area and met so many wonderful and inspirational stylists along the way. Over the years I developed a vision of starting my own shop and was given an amazing opportunity to put my education and experience towards opening Wild & Free alongside my parents and an amazing team supporting us. It’s been so great to be back in Orleans and seeing so many friendly and familiar faces coming into the salon. We love our community and are so thankful for all the love and support everyone has shown us in our first year of being open!
What’s the most wild hairstyle you’ve ever had?
In high school we used to use bingo dabbers to colour the tips of our hair all different colours. I chose green. It was hideous and rubbed off all over my neck, I looked like a ghoul… never again!

I love this one for myself, especially as a busy mom! For the girls with long hair that want to add some curls to your hair but don’t have the time to do it: throw your hair in a HIGH ponytail and section it in two, for thicker hair use 4 sections. Curl these sections with your flat iron, let your hair down and you’ve got beautiful loose curls in under five minutes!
